Since you are here, I will assume you are interested learning more about me so here it goes:
I was born in California but moved to Pennsylvania at a young age. Being raised in a small northern town had both advantages and drawbacks. You knew everyone and knew most of their "secrets"......but everyone knew your "secrets", too! All in all, it was okay and, looking back, there are not many regrets.
Weatherly's school system provided a quality base for my future educational pursuits. The next step after relocating to Hershey, PA, was to attend business school at Thompson Institute in Harrisburg. I earned an associate degree and graduated with a 3.85 GPA. Fun times!

Weatherly Area High School in its day.

After graduation, I was hired for a full-time, but temporary, position with the Small Business Administration as a receptionist doing secretarial support. That worked out fine in my plans as my goal was to join the United States Air Force. All I needed to do was lose a few pounds--well, 75 of them--and I would soar off into the wild blue yonder. It was always my dream.
Well, it took a while, but I did it! At the ripe, old age of 26, I enlisted in the USAF. Talk about an adventure!
After basic training, I went to Technical School in Biloxi, MS, and trained in Wideband Communications. Once again, I did very well in my studies while fostering a rich, enjoyable social life. Later I would find that this book knowledge would prove to be very difficult to apply in real world situations and I did not excel, but I did learn and managed to get by. Unfortunately, it was not the position for me. Sometimes you don't know until you try, right?

Regardless, I will never regret my stint in the military. So many wonderful things happened during this time. I was stationed in Germany, and this presented many alluring travel opportunities. And I traveled a lot! Living on the German economy made every day interesting, and I had the time to see that beautiful country from border to border. Long weekends were made for day trips to France and the Netherlands. Vacation time and a EuroRail Pass made it easy to tour other countries, like Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, and England. These were the best days of my life, and I thoroughly enjoyed experiencing the various cultures and creating cherished memories. I only wish we carried cell phones back then so I would have more pictures to enhance those memories.

Also, I became acquainted, and later infatuated, with a sexy Airman that lived on the same base. We were married on September 26, 1990. Man, oh man, thinking back on all of this awakens a whirlwind of thoughts and feelings. I am a very lucky woman!

After returning to the United States, my husband attended Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Orlando, FL. The schooling was for 18 months, and we had no idea where we would end up after that; consequently, I worked various part-time jobs in the interim. Sounds silly, but I enjoyed these positions for a change. Flexible schedules, no stress, and interesting people. I have always enjoyed interacting with people and discovered the benefits of having a day off during the week. :)
Once my husband accepted a position with Barnes Harley Davidson right down the road in Tampa, I found a job working at Allstate Appliance and Air Conditioning as a dispatcher. Funny as I knew nothing about dispatching, but I learned the ropes and worked there for four years until they sold the business. I believe the boss--and now my friend of many years--Laura, hired me because we had such a fun, interesting interview discussing many of the things I've outlined above, especially the European adventures. I loved that job and was sorry to move on.
Covid-12 erased my position at Suncoast Ceramic Studio. I worked at the dental laboratory, Suncoast Ceramic Studio, for many years running the front office. It is a family-owned business, and I have always felt like part of the family! I answered the phones; scheduled incoming cases; typed; filed; ran reports; created newsletters, pamphlets, email blasts, and various forms of correspondence; generated invoices; prepared outgoing shipments; and (just like the military) other duties as assigned. My title was Master Hodgpodgenist. We made this up, but it seemed very fitting. Most recipients of correspondence didn't even notice the title; but, every once in a while, someone commented that it made them smile. Mission accomplished!
I'm still married to the same sexy man, and we never had any children, except the furry kind. We share our home with three cats and one dog, and our back yard is protected by one feral kitty.
